DO YOU NEED A TECHNOLOGICAL SOLUTION FOR YOUR COMPANY?

The Workshop on Industrial Problem Solving (SPI) is an effort by CIMAT to connect the productive and social sectors with the Academy. It offers you the opportunity to work together with researchers, academic technicians and graduate students, on a concrete problem of your company, in order to generate innovative solutions that may increase the competitiveness of your organization. Your company can submit a problem related to the areas of artificial intelligence, mathematical modeling, scientific computation and probability and statistics.

At the end of the workshop, your company will receive a technical report describing the proposed solutions, technical recommendations, the description of the techniques involved and the tests performed during the week. This report will be the basis for future implementation of the solution in your company, and it may also help you to submit a project to funding calls in institutions related to science and technology.

WHAT BENEFITS DOES YOUR COMPANY RECEIVE WHEN PARTICIPATING?

  • Technical and specialized recommendations for your problem by a network of international researchers.
  • Talent recruitment and hiring opportunities through contact with graduate students and highly qualified researchers.
  • Innovative solutions or ideas to redirect the search for solutions.
  • A technical report detailing the results obtained and a feasibility study to facilitate a financing request of a research project within your company.
  • Connection with highly qualified researchers, which can subsequently result in long-term collaborations for research and development purposes.

WHAT ARE THE OBJECTIVES OF CIMAT WHEN CARRYING OUT THIS WORKSHOP?

  • Provide our professionals the opportunity to learn and apply mathematical, statistical or computational modeling techniques under the supervision of an expert researcher in the field.
  • Strengthen the collaboration between CIMAT and the productive sector, in order to explore innovative solutions that may motivate the creation of new research areas and enlarge the scientific knowledge of CIMAT.
